HYDERABAD: Yuva Rajyam, the youth wing of Praja Rajyam, has demanded that the Communist Party of India (Marxist) clarify how it had joined hands with the Telugu Desam Party after describing its president N. Chandrababu Naidu as “corrupt”.
Yuva Rajyam general secretary Sravan Kumar took strong objection to CPI (M) State secretary B.V. Raghavulu’s reported “personalised” comments against Yuva Rajyam president Pawan Kalyan who questioned the commitment of the Communists in championing the cause of suffering masses. Charging the Left parties with giving up their struggle for the suffering people, he said the PR would expose the “power politics” of the Communist parties.
BookletAt a press conference, Dr. Sravan displayed a booklet published by the CPI (M) on “corruption during Mr. Naidu’s regime” and said the party’s joining hands with the TDP reflected its “political opportunism”.
