According to sources, a police team intercepted a car on the outskirts of Munugode during a vehicle checking operation and recovered Rs. 95,100 cash from the possession of PRP leader G. Linga Reddy. The incident happened an hour before PR president Chiranjeevi’s public meeting in Munugode. The police conducted the surprise check based on specific information that some political party leaders were transporting cash and trying to distribute the money to the people, sources said. When contacted, Munugode SI K. Kishan said Linga Reddy and the car driver Raji Reddy were arrested.
