Chiru ridicules ‘grand alliance’ Staff Reporter

NANDIPET NIZAMABAD DT Praja Rajyam party president K. Chiranjeevi has ridiculed the alliance between Telangana Rashtra Samithi and Telugu Desam and the Left parties which he described as opposite poles.

Making a dig at the so-called grand alliance he said theirs was not mahakootami but mayakootami and that it could not stand before his megakootami comprising youth force women force farmers labourers and his fans. The parties in the mahakootami were once arch enemies and vehemently criticised each other he pointed out.

On the penultimate day of his four day tour in the district the film star turned politician covered Madhavanagar Dichpally and Amrad in Nizamabad rural constituency Manikbandar Makloor Velmal Nandipet and Armoor in Armoor constituency and Balkonda in Balkonda constituency

Unlike the previous two days on the third day on Tuesday the response to his road shows initially was pretty dull with low turnout. However, the gathering was impressive at this mandal headquarter and Armoor town.

The poor response till afternoon apparently was due to faulty mapping of the route delay in the arrival and the villages being small.

According to reliable sources in the party Mr. Chiranjeevi at one stage was irritated and expressed ire over the PRleaders.

Having learnt that the gathering at different places in the route were not so impressive he stopped the yatra within two hours of its start onlyto re-start the road show after lunch.

The megastar s fans at Madhavnagar and Nadipally villages expressed strong protest and staged a rasta roko.We wished him to stop and garland Mahatma Gandhi statue and hoist the party flag, but he Chiranjeevi disappointed us said K. Srinivas, megastar fans association president in Madhavnagar.

Addressing at Makloor Mr. Chiranjeevi said for him politics was not a comfort nor an addiction nor a tool for money earning. It was only a source for serving the people. I do not do such politics he reiterated.

Impressed by the mammoth crowd here, he said change was an imperative need of the hour to better the lives of the oppressed sections. “We are hopeful of the change and the PR would bring about that he said.
