filmo graphy

The first half of 90’s decade peaked Chiranjeevi’s career graph to soaring heights for every movie released rewrote the box-office history. Gang Leader, Rowdi Alludu, Jagadeka Veerudu-Athiloka Sundari, Gharana Mogudu are only a few to be cited. Unfortunately, even the much bright star, Sun, encounters a phase of eclipse. And Chiranjeevi is no exception. Movies like Mechanic Alludu, SP Parasuram, Big Boss, Rickshavodu proved to be commercially disastrous. Mugguru Mongallu, Alluda Majaka did average at the box office. Big Boss and Rikshavodu were mere formula films. The controversy raked by Alluda Majaaka for some double-intender dialogues and few scenes affected Chiranjeevi’s image among his fans. Chiranjeevi threw a self-declared 'gap' after Rickshavodu to have a self-scanning of his conscience and thus emerged out with much mature and versatile portrayal with the film Hitler followed by 'Master', 'Baavagaaru Baagunnara', 'Choodaalani Vundi', ''Sneham Kosam', 'Sneham Kosam', 'Iddaru Mithrulu', 'Annayya', 'Indra', 'Stalin', 'Shankar Dada MBBS' and Chiranjeevi fans are eagerly awaiting the release of Shankar Dada Zindabad. Chiranjeevi didn’t limit himself only to Telugu spectators. He is well acclaimed by Bollywood for his films 'Prathibandh', 'Aaj ka Goondaraj'. The dubbed version of 'Gang Leader', The hunters of the Indian treasure, introduced Chiranjeevi to foreign spectators as well. Charity and Services: On October 2, 1998, he founded the Chiranjeevi Charitable Trust (CCT), which includes Chiranjeevi Blood and Eye Banks. It is the state's largest recipient of Blood and Eye Donations. The Blood Bank of the CCT helped over 80,000 people and the Eye Bank has helped about 1000 people in the state of Andhra Pradesh since its opening. So far around 3.5 lakh people have pledged their eyes to CCT so far, giving 1600 people eye sight through CCT. CCT has also won the "Best Voluntary Blood Bank Award" by the AP State Government for the past 4 years. On June 10, 2006, The President of India, Dr. Abdul Kalam, inaugurated the Chiranjeevi Charitable Foundation (CCF) at the Jubilee Hills Check post in Hyderabad. Recently chiranjeevi charitable trust has reached one more landmark by crossing the one lakh mark in collecting the blood and more than 96,000 people were helped with blood by this blood bank. Chiranjeevi Trivia: * Chiranjeevi won Southern Filmfare Award (Best Actor) for seven years * Chiranjeevi is one of the highest paid actors in India. * Chiranjeevi's "Thriller" music video is one of the most viewed videos on Youtube. * Chiranjeevi's old hit movies are given to the distributors and exhibitors for free when ever they loose money on his new movie. And his old movies are still good grossers at box office CHIRANJEEVI FILMOGRAPHY: 1.Pranam Kareedu (Reshma Roy-22/09/78) 2.Manavoori Pandavulu (09/11/78) 3.Tayaramma Bangarayya (Madhavi-12/01/79) 4.Kukka Katuku Cheppu Debba (Madhavi-01/03/79) 5.Kotta Alludu (villain) - 31/05/79 6.I love You (Suvarna-01/06/79) 7.Poonadi Rallu (21/06/79) 8.Idi Katha Kaadu (Jayasudha-29/06/79) 9.Sri Rambantu (Geeta-03/07/79) 10.Kothala Raayudu(Madhavi-15/09/79) 11.Agni Samskaram(Madhavi-21/02/80) 12.Kottapeta Rowdy (guest) -07/03/80 13.Chandipriya(Suvarna-07/03/80) 14.Aarani Mantalu(Kavita-15/03/80) 15.Jathara(Indrani-19/04/80) 16.Mosagadu (villain)-22/05/80 17.Punnami Naagu(Menaka-13/06/80) 18.Nakili Manishi(Sangeeta & Sunita -01/08/80) 19.Kaali(Fatafat Jayalakshmi-19/09/80) 20.Thathayya Premaleelalu(Geeta & Seema-19/09/80) 21.Love In Singapore(Meslin-27/09/80) 22.Prema Tarangalu(Sujatha-24/10/80) 23.Mogudu Kaavali(Gayatri-15/11/80) 24.Rakta Sambandham(Suvarna-13/12/80) 25.Adavaalu Meeku Joharulu(Suvarna-15/01/81) 26.Paravathi Parameshwarulu(Prabha-06/02/81) 27.Todu Dongalu(Geeta-12/02/81) 28.Tirugu Leni Manishi(Fatafat Jayalakshmi-03/04/81) 29.Prema Natakam (guest) -18/04/81 30.Nayam Kavali(Radhika-15/05/81) 31.Ooriki Ichina Maata(Kavita-24/06/81) 32.Rani Kasula Rangamma(Sridevi-01/08/81) 33.47 Rojulu(Jaya Prada-03/09/81) 34.Srirasthu Subhamasthu(Swapna-26/09/81) 35.Priya(Radhika (guest)-23/10/81) 36.Chettaniki Kallu Levu(Madhavi-30/10/81) 37.Kirayi Rowdylu(Radhika-24/12/81) 38.Intlo Ramayya Veedilo Krishnayya(Madhavi-23/04/82) 39.Bandipotu Simham(sumangali-21/05/82) 40.Subhalekha(Sumalatha-11/06/82) 41.Idi Pellantara(Radhika-16/07/82) 42.Sitadevi(Rajani-30/07/82) 43.Radha My Darling(Vijaya Kala-30/07/82) 44.Tingu Rangadu(Geetika-01/10/82) 45.Patnam Vachina Prativrathalu(Radhika-01/01/82) 46.Billa Ranga(Syamala Gowry-15/10/82) 47.Yamakinakarudu(Radhika-22/10/82) 48.Mondigatam(Radhika-06/11/82) 49.Manchupallaki(Suhasini-19/11/82) 50.Bandhalu Anubandhalu(Suhasini-26/11/82) 51.Prema Pichollu(Radhika-14/01/83) 52.Pelletoori Monagadu(Radhika-05/02/83) 53.Abhilasha(Radhika-11/03/83) 54.Aalyashikaram(Sumalatha-07/05/83) 55.Shivudu Shivudu Shivudu(Radhika-09/06/83) 56.Puli Bebbuli(Radhika-16/06/83) 57.Gudachari No.1(Radhika-30/06/83) 58.Magamaha Raju(Suhasini-15/07/83) 59.Roshagadu(Madhavi-29/07/83) 60.Maa Inti Premayanam(Madhavi-11/08/83) 61.Simhapoori Simham(Radhika & Madhavi-20/10/83) 62.Khaidi(Madhavi, Sumalatha-28/10/83) 63.Mantri Gari Viyankudu(Poornima Jayaram-04/11/83) 64.Sangarshana(Nalini-29/12/83) 65.Allulu Vasthunnaru(Geeta-11/02/84) 66.Goonda(Radha-23/02/84) 67.Hero(Radhika-23/03/84) 68.Devanthakudu(Vijaya Shanti-12/04/84) 69.Mahanagaramlo Mayagadu(Vijaya Shanti-28/06/84) 70.Challenge(Vijaya Shanti & Suhasini-09/08/84) 71.Intiguttu(Nalini-14/09/84) 72.Naagu(Radha-11/10/84) 73.Agnigundam(Sumalatha-23/11/84) 74.Rustum(Urvasi-21/12/84) 75.Chattam Tho Poratam(Madhavi & Sumalatha -11/01/85) 76.Donga(-Radha14/03/85) 77.Chiranjeevi(Vijaya Shanti-18/04/85) 78.Jwala(Bhanupriya & Radhika -14/07/85) 79.Puli (Radha -26/07/85 ) 80.Raktha Sindhuram (Radha -24/08/85) 81 .Adavi Donga (Radha -19/09/85 ) 82 .Vijetha (Bhanupriya -23/10/85 ) 83 .Keerathakudu (Suhasini -10/01/86 ) 84 .Kondaveeti Raja (Vijaya Shanti & Radha -31/01/86) 85 .Magadheerudu (Jaya Sudha -07/03/86 ) 86 .Veta (Jaya Prada -28/05/86 ) 87 .Chantabbai (Suhasini -22/08/86) 88 .Rakshasudu (Suhasini & Radha -02/10/86) 89 .Dairyavanthudu (Vijaya Shanti -27/11/86 ) 90 .Chanakya Shapadham (Vijaya Shanti -18/12/86) 91.Donga Mogudu (Radhika, Madhavi & Bhanupriya-09/01/87) 92 .Aradhana (Suhasini -27/03/87) 93 .Chakravarthy (Bhanupriya -04/06/87 ) 94 .Pasivadi Pranam (Vijaya Shanti -23/07/87 ) 95 .Swayam Krushi (Vijaya Shanti -03/09/87) 96 .Jebu Donga (Radha, Bhanu Priya -25/12/87) 97 .Manchi Donga (Vijaya Shanti & Suhasini-14/01/88) 98 .Rudraveena (Sobhana -04/03/88) 99 .Yamudiki Mogudu (Vijaya Shanti & Radha-29/04/88) 100 .Khaidi No.786 (Bhanupriya -10/06/88 ) 101 .Marana Mrudangam (Radha & Suhasini -04/08/88) 102 .Trinetrudu (Bhanupriya -22/09/88 ) 103 .Yudda Bhoomi (Vijaya Shanti -11/11/88) 104 .Athaku Yamudu Ammayiki Mogudu (Vijaya Shanti-14/01/89)

CHIRANJEEVI, WIFE SUREKHA , DAUGHTERS SUSHMITA, SRIJA & SON RAM CHARAN TEJ

CHIRANJEEVI, WIFE SUREKHA , DAUGHTERS SUSHMITA, SRIJA & SON RAM CHARAN TEJ CHIRANJEEVI WITH DAUGHTER SUSHMITA CHIRANJEEVI WITH SON RAM CHARAN TEJ ENTRY TO THE TELUGU FILM INDUSTRY: Chiranjeevi, the Megastar of Tollywood today, was born on 22nd August of 1955 in Mogalturu, a small village in 'West Godavari' District in Andhra Pradesh to Sri Venkat Rao and Anjana Devi. He grew up in his native village with his grand parents, while his family was elsewhere because of his father's occupation. The sense of discipline and hard work which he still embraces were introduced at a very young age in his life and the tough childhood he had, being the eldest in his family, have helped him to handle many such events of higher proportion with great expertise in the later stages of his life. Little did he imagine, even in the wildest of his dreams that he would, one day, be a Megastar and rule the Telugu Film Industry. Years later, this youngster, dearly called "Chiru" in the Film Industry, with his hard work and dedication to his profession could make it really big in the field hitting the limelight, with an unparallel fan following emulating his every act, word, dress and dance. What makes this ordinary human being such an extraordinary one - Hardwork and Dedication! Varaprasad’s education was nomadic accounting to his father Venkat Rao’s frequent transfers to Ongole, Bapatla, Chirala, Nellore etc, which didn’t really defer Vara Prasad as he gained a great friend circle wherever he was. Varaprasad is really fortunate for his father has constantly encouraged him after having discovered the undaunted liking of his son towards cultural activities. Varaprasad did his schooling in Nidadavolu, Gurajala, Ponnuru, Mangalagiri and Mogalturu. He also won first prize for his first performance as Parandamayya Panthulu. After high school, Varaprasad joined Bi.P.C in P.R.Sharma Jr. College at Ongole. Following that he finished his B.Com from Narasapur college. After graduation, Varaprasad moved to Madras to seek a career in his chosen field of acting in the Film Industry. To get himself ready for the camera, he joined in a film institute. This was in 1977. Varaprasad was offered the lead role in the film Punaadi Raallu, produced by Sheikh Abdul Khadir in the direction of Raj Kumar, which has laid the foundation stone to the acting career of Vara Prasad as Chiranjeevi. Even though Punadi Raalu was his first movie, it was Pranam Kareedhu that was his first release. Pranam kareedhu directed by K Vasu was released on September 22nd, 1978. The second movie to release was Manavuri Pandavulu from which Chiranjeevi started gaining recognition as hero among the spectators. In the beginning of his career, Chiranjeevi donned villain roles in films like Kukka Kaatuki Cheppu Debba, Kotthapeta Rowdi etc. His focused concentration in speedy dance movements, risky hair rising fights evoked immense response from the spectators. Chiranjeevi tied the wedding knot to Surekha, daughter of eminent yesteryear comedian Allu Ramalingayya, on 20th of February, 1980. The auspicious time was 11:50 AM. The couple is blessed with 2 daughters, Susmitha and Srija and a son, Ram Charan Teja. Films like 'Kothala Raayudu', 'Punnami Naagu', 'Mogudu Kaavali', 'Kiraayi Rowdeelu', 'Subhalekha', 'Maga Maharaju', 'Intlo Raamayya-Veedhilo Krishnayya', 'Abhilasha', 'Manthri Gaari Viyyankudu' etc are the super-hits in his first phase. 'Khaidi', released in 1983, gave Chiranjeevi a thrusting progress towards a commercial career. His fights and dance movements in this film are still a rage among the movie lovers. He never looked back after this. The films ala Goonda, Donga, Nagu, Adavi Donga, Yama Kinkarudu, Kirathakudu, Rusthum proved his fighting skills in action roles. He is referred to as Dynamic hero during that time. The films ala Vijetha, Magadheerudu, KondaveetiRaja, Chantabbayi, Challenge, Rakshasudu, DongaMogudu showed his versatility in performance. The film Pasivadi Pranam, released in 1987, gave Chiranjeevi a super stardom. New style of dances were introduced. Chiranjeevi created waves with his steps which is known as "Break Dance". In the same year he acted in SwayamKrushi in the direction of kalatapasvi K. Viswanath and won Nandi Award for his performance. Chiranjeevi is a Saleable Product, Chiranjeevi is a Hot cake - is what both industry people and the spectators chant beyond any doubt. He gave super duper hits such as YamudikiMogudu, AthakiYamudu Ammayiki Mogudu. Chiru became Supreme Hero with Yamudiki Mogudu. The title "Megastar" was used for the first time while publicizing K.S.Rama Rao’s movie Marana Mrudangam which released in August 1988. In the same year was released Rudraveena directed by K.Balachander, which bagged the "Nargis Dutt" award for Chiranjeevi in the national arena.

Praja Rajyam distributes essentials to the poor

Praja Rajyam distributes essentials to the poor Special Correspondent GUNTUR: Praja Rajyam Party Guntur district and city unit leaders on Friday distributed essentials to people from BPL categories free of cost as a special gesture promising to continue the supply when the party comes to power. Handing over red gram, oil and rice to women from colonies near Pattabhipuram in the city, PRP city unit convener Kilaru Roshaiah said that this gesture was being made by party leaders in all Assembly constituencies in the district and would continue in the days to come. Referring to the announcement made by party founder K. Chiranjeevi, Mr. Roshaiah said that just by subsidy on the rice, the poor were unable to buy other essential goods, hence the party decided to give a pack of all useful things, including tamarind, for Rs.100 a month. This was in addition to several other welfare measures to be implemented, he added. People formed long queues in front of the distribution centre. Karimnagar town on Friday. KARIMNAGAR: In order to propagate Praja Prajyam’s promise of providing essential commodities at the rate of Rs. 100 per month, the PR district unit has distributed 25 kg rice, 1 kg red gram, 1 kg tamarind and 1 kg salt at the rate of Rs. 100 only to 100 poor families in Karimnagar town on Friday. Formal launch PR district convenor Velichala Rajender Rao formally launched the scheme at the party office by distributing the essential commodities to poor families at the party office in Karimnagar town. Speaking on the occasion, he said that they had decided to further intensify the campaign of providing essential commodities at Rs. 100 through fair price shops after attaining power by conducting similar symbolic programmes in all mandals. He also said that they would also educate the people about other promises of the party such as providing free education to girl child, 50 per cent power subsidy to the domestic consumers, free power to the artisans and other issues. Terming the grand alliance as ‘unholy and unethical’, the PR leader said that the people would teach a fitting lesson to TDP, TRS and Left parties for their ‘nexus’ to attain only power by neglecting their ideologies. He found fault with the TRS president K. Chandrashekhar Rao for forging alliance with TDP and Left parties, which were committed for integrated Andhra Pradesh State. He reiterated that the PR was committed for the formation of Telangana statehood by passing a resolution in the State Assembly after attaining power.

Lingusamy's Paiya postponed again

Lingusamy's Paiya postponed again Ace director Linguswamy has titled his forthcoming mega venture with Karthi and Nayantara as Paiya (Boy). But on the other hand, Nayantara, the highest paid ever heroine, is ready for the shoot and her call sheet days as decided earlier, have started already! Prithviraj and Bhavana held captives in Bangkok December 1st, 2008

Quite shocking to hear that South Indian Film industry’s actors are being held as captives and yet there is no proper information about their whereabouts.

Prithviraj, Bhavana, Director Shafi, Cinematographer Azhagappan and other unit members fleeted to Thailand of Bangkok for filming Malayalam film ‘Lollipop’. However as a coincidence, over there citizens were enraged with protest against Thailand’s President Somchai Vangasavath for involved in corruption.

As the filming over, the entire crewmembers returned to airport, they seem to have been held as captives and there isn’t any news received from them. This has lead to ultimate tension amongst the South Indian Film Industries.

Let’s hope and pray that the perplexing situations may soon turn to be solved out soon-

Actress Karthika plans big December 1st, 2008 Actress Karthika though not a leading actress, she happens to be the ducky one for enormous lads. Karthika made her debut with Director-Actor Hari’s ‘Thoothukudi’ and she was shot to fame with the song ‘Karuvapayya’. The films she later geared up with weren’t so successful, but her performances were lauded with high-praises. At present, she is gleeful with best credits fetched for ‘Raman Thediya Seedhai’ and now she is busy shooting for ‘Madurai Sambhavam’. The film that has same Director-Actor Hari in lead and shooting is progressing towards completion. Apart from this, she is simultaneously shooting for another Tamil film titled ‘Dheiriyam’. The actress who isn’t distressed about getting out of Director Bala’s ‘Naan Kadavul’ says, ” I have been getting more offers for Malayalam and Telugu films, but all depicting heroine as a character falling in love with the protagonist and ready to do anything for him. So, I am waiting for good roles and remuneration is not my concern. It’s good to earn reputation more than money in film industry’.
Priyamani’s recent close friend December 1st, 2008 Prithviraj is one guy who easily mesmerizes all the actresses not even sparing the least ones in their look. And his recent pick is Prithviraj who has been transfixed by his gestures. Prithviraj and Priyamani are pairing up together for Mani Rathnam’s bilingual project ‘Ashokavanam’ -’Raavana’. Although Priyamani’s portions of shooting schedules commences only in the month of January, she had a good relations with Prithviraj as they have acted performed together in many films. Apart from professional issues, both of them spend lots of times chatting their personal matters. Well, Prithviraj has the behavior of gifting every girl with costliest products and attracting them. So, what was Priyamani’s return for Prithviraj? Any guesses….
The musical legends unite again The legends come together again. They are none other than the musical maestros of Tamil cinema, M S Viswanathan, Singers TM Soundarajan and P Suseela. All these great achievers have joined again for a film titled Vaaliban Sutrum Ulagam. Produced by Shree Jai Sakthi Creations Pvt. Ltd, the film is directed by A. R. Lalithasamy. MGR Siva, a look-alike of MGR will play the lead role, while Meenakshi will play his lady love. The film brings together the once cherished team of prolific singers, T. M. Soundararajan and P. Susheela along with musician M. S. Viswanathan. Lyricists Valee and Kaamakodian have penned the lyrics. Recently the recording of the song 'Thaat Put Thanjavur' penned by Kaamakodian took place at the Kodhandapani Stidio in Chennai. TMS and P. Susheela have sung the song after many years.
Heroines booze up their lives Gone are the days, when actresses symbolized the perfect 'sati-savitri' persona they enacted on screen, even in their real life. These days they have decided to break all redundant customs and if that was not enough they are even trying to outdo their counterparts, the hapless heroes in every sphere. Women activists can be proud of the brave feats that our glamour queens have achieved. Now our favourite Tamil actresses are trying to make them even more proud. Trisha and Nayantara have usurped the headlines with their notoriously famous booze episodes. Trisha the coy actress, the epitome of timidity, is reportedly said to have let hell lose when once during actor Vikram's party she outdid all her co-stars Vijay, Vikram himself and Dharani by rocking the night with her howls and guffaws. Having gulped peg after peg she was virtually carried home by her driver and Vikram. So too it is an open secret that Nayantara, Lakshmi Rai, Urvashi and many other top-notch actresses have their own brands and specific choice when it comes to the spirit they would like to immerse themselves in. Nayantara known for her fondness for Scotch greets the night in full spirits. They are our heroines, the obedient daughters, devoted wives, ideal mothers and the loving sisters. But how can we forget that in this Kaliyuga anything can happen. And with feminism raging high and the buzz word “Why should boys have all the fun?”, truly our heroines can be spared, can't they?

Kanimozhi Karunanidhi M.P. released the first copy and leading writer – cartoonist Madhan and Veteran director SP Muthuraman received the same. Dr.Gayathri, the ophthalmologist turned writer had released the English version of the superstar's biography earlier. But many criticized the book on the basis of the mistakes and errors committed in the the depiction of the superstar's life. However, the book was one of the hot sellers in the stalls and more than 20000 copies were sold out in a few months. In this Tamil version, the writer has carried out most of the corrections. After receiving the copy, Madhan said that the book is an important document on Rajini, the real icon of the industry and that leading authors should come forward to write more about the superstar. He further commented, "Rajinikanth is not only an actor but also an icon in the industry and country. He is a fantastic person and great human being. I know him personally too. In our country, writing the biography of an actor is not considered a wise thing in the literary world. This is the real danger. We should publish more books with an unbiased view on actors like Rajini. In the 75 year old Tamil cinema history, only two great actors have scaled great heights in their professional life - one was MGR, the evergreen hero who knew the magic well to grab the attention of the people through his films and other is no doubt, our super star Rajinikanth. People like Gayathri should try to highlight the other aspects related to Rajini's future. That will enable people to know the trends and tastes of the public..." Kanimozhi, in her special address, mentioned, "Rajini is really a great actor. He has mesmerized all the age groups for more than three or four generations. It's not an easy job and a simple thing. After MGR, only Rajini has achieved this. The book is written in a good style and the entire life history of Rajinikanth is a great lesson for all of us...". Director SP Muthuraman, who has the rare credit of directing Rajini in the highest number of films also spoke on this occassion. Actors Sivakumar, Delhi Ganesh, Srikanth, Naren, Keerthi Chawla, Sandhya, Director P Vasu and Producer Kandasamy also attended the event and spoke about the Superstar.
Mallika in Ganga Kaveri Ganga Kaveri is said to be a visual treat with elaborate shooting schedules in Gangotri and other locations in the Himalayas which have never been featured in Tamil films before. The film also has daredevil stunts performed by lead actor Akshay like a leap from a height of 350 feet which will thrill the audience. Apparently, producer Venkatappa, wanting to leave no stone unturned in his son Akshay's debut film, is making all efforts to create a wonderful and unforgettable film. Although carefully prepared with good publicity, this film also had its share of misleading rumours. The film attracted unwanted attention when news broke out that the director Vishnukant and cameraman Venu got into a brawl. Then it was heard that the producer took the team to Bangkok and Kulu Manali for the shooting without the director but made up with him when he returned. Venkatappa has selected two beautiful actresses, Mallika Kapoor and Mahi, who will play the title characters Ganga and Kaveri.

Suriya to do experimental roles Suriya says that he will act in experimental roles in future. He said, “When Gowtham Menon narrated the roles of student, father, son and army officer in the film Vaaranam Aayiram, I was fascinated. I had to take a lot of efforts and strain to project myself as a student and army officer. But all these strains and difficulties vanished into thin air when laurels poured in. In future I will be acting in experimental roles only. I will be acting in the role where I have to strain my physique. Only two songs are remaining to be shot for Ayan. The stunt scene with African Negros was a novel experience to me”.
Shocking News: Villu film leaked in Youtube.com? What is this really happening down here in Tamil film industry? Why do Director Prabhu Deva and his team members want to promote their film ‘Villu’ so cheaply? If they’re looking for a good promo, better they could’ve released these scenes on TV Channels with a decent approach. Did someone invisible go there and copy it? Something must have really doubted Vijay and Prabhu whether this film would be a hit or not. So in order to make a publicity stunts, this has happened now in town…Well, over there you get to find a comedic scene where Vijay jumps and gets introduced in the style of Ram Charan Teja of Telugu movie ‘Chirutha’. A woman utters ‘Is he a Superman or a Spiderman?’

Simbhu is behind Namitha Simbhu, even though a most gossiped Kollywood guy, has his own reputation in the minds of public. The kind of reputation itself makes to write gossips about him! "Simbhu is behind Namitha, so he has accepted to act in a movie where Namitha will be in the lead role showing her skin and Simbhu in a guest role" is the new gossip moving around Kollywood! The news made our heart painful and hence we started our investigation in an idea to bail out Simbhu from being labled as a Man behind females! When we enquired, we understood that it was in Namitha next movie after her Jaganmohini, Simbhu is going to do a guest role. The movie is titled as 'Jagathalaprathaapan' - title itself says what the subject its going to deal with. The movie is going to be directed by Antony, who is a close friend of Simbhu. Just, for Antony and purely on request from Antony, Simbhu has accepted to do the guest role and nothing more than that. Even though the picture shown on this page gives some other message, it has no association to Simbhu's guest role.
Dad to film son's duets Unique thing happen in Kollywood, that is, son and daughter watch their dad and mum dancing and indulging in semi-pornographic acting in films. In turn, dad and mum watch their wards dancing with their pairs for films after they grow up. For people like us who feel shy to touch our own spouse in public, these things are considered as 'Dirty jobs'. Here is a case, and its about Pandiarajan. Pandiarajan who was a hero once and made his son watch all his duets, is now getting ready to film the duets of his son. Pandiarajan's son Prithvi, acted in a movie, but it failed (Packiaraj tried with his daughter) and Prithvi remained jobless. Now he is doing a movie with Krithika and after that he will act in a movie to be directed by his dad!

Anbumani – Kamal in TP Gajendran's film Yes, it is a bit unbelievable that Kamal is in TP Gajendran's film, but do read on. Presented by Raj Television Network and produced by Muthulakshmi Movies, the film 'Magane En Marumagane' is directed by TP Gajendran. Starring Nasser, Saranya and Vivek, the film has comedy as well as tear jerking sentiment. Organ donation at the climax of the film is an important message in the climax that will get across to the people only if a VIP from films or politics speaks about it. So, TP Gajendran is set to discuss the matter with Kamal and Anbumani Ramadoss. Kamal has already donated his body for study by medical college students. He has also featured in AIDS awareness campaign out of volition, without taking payment. So, it's said Kamal would be suitable for the role and he could agree. By banning smoking from public places, Anbumani Ramadoss found his way into people's hearts. Talks are on with him. He is not interested in films, but to convey this public service message, he could accept to appear in the film.
Samiksha out of 'Rajadhi Raja' The film is also produced by Shakti Chidambaram and for the leading man Lawrence, ther eare about half a dozen heroines namely Meenakshi, Snigdha, Mumtaz, Kaamna, Kiran and Samiksha. When Shakti Chidambaram decided to cut down on one heroine, he had to make a tough decision on whom to remove from the cast and his choice fell on Samiksha. On being summarily removed like this, Samiksha who had been very happy to be in the film, is rather dejected at suddenly being axed like this. When asked about this, Shakti Chidambaram say she has made a lot of changes in the story that resulted in Samiksha's portion being unnecessary, and hence he had to remove her from the cast. The unit however has a somewhat different reason for this - that Samiksha did not give way over the 'expected' to the hero and director, hence she was axed from the film.

This fun loving part animals have decided to not let the gloomy scene at hotels here, post the Mumbai 26/11 fiasco affect their new year’s eve plans. The two have now decided to let their hair down and party till through the New Year at Dubai, the Land of the sheiks. Undeterred by the move of hotels across the country to go low key on New Year and Christmas celebrations the two stars have decided to show their resilience by continuing to enjoy the festivities. Right move guys why let an act of terror bog down our spirits, it is by continuing to do what we always do that we show that their efforts have gone in vain. If they had organized one here instead it would have been an even more commendable an effort.

Anshuka in heroine-oriented movie Arundhati Arundhati, a heroine-oriented movie set in the 1920s and the 21st century, stars pretty and curvaceous Anushka. Directed by Kodi Rama Krishna and produced by Shyam Prasad Reddy, the movie has given an entirely new look to Anushka. For all who thought that the era of the sari-clad seductress was forgotten history, there's new hope – Anushka is redefining sensuality with her costumes of heavy silk saris, long plaits decorated with flowers, bangles upto her elbows and the whole look rounded off with the big red bindi on her forehead. She plays the role of a princess in Arundhati, the movie's name presumably taken from one of the characters' names. Like Shyam Prasad Reddy's previous fantasies (enhanced by graphics) Ammoru and Anji, the special effects and graphics in Arundhati are of international standards. The film will be released on January 9. The film is rumoured to have an outlay of Rs. 15 crores and over three-quarters of the budget has already been spent.
