Andhra Pradesh Printer Friendly Page

At least four more news channels are vying to go on air with round the clock coverage in next one month and it could mean the Telugu television industry getting activity like never before.

Couple of the present general entertainment channels too are expected to acquire their news arms by February-end. A lot of shifting of manpower is in the process as the D-day for most of them is approaching and this is said to be happening at all leve ls including news anchors, reporters, technicians to support personnel.

Some big names presently deployed with both existing and upcoming channels are expected to make their intentions clear and shift their operation bases. For some, a home coming of sorts is also said to be in the air.

From acquisition of staff to equipping studios and technical support, most are on a quiet job and if all plans fructify, the coming days are to erupt with a high option of news and current affairs on local channels.

This naturally has the existing ones seeking more dynamic plans, while the new entrants have their struggle to catch the viewer’s attention.

Suma shines

For long it was Jhansi and her ‘Talk of the Town’ show which ruled the content popularity charts. She was charming, witty and pulled punches in the show which came packaged with lots of laughter.

Now, Suma in her own inimitable way is showcasing her versatility with the show ‘Panchavataram’ and sure, the show has lots of fun packed and more generated by the hostess. Do catch the show for some real light moments
