Gmail goes offline for a brief time

New Delhi: Popular e-mail service Gmail was inaccessible for millions of users across the world for a brief period on Tuesday but the glitch was later resolved. Google, to whose stable Gmail belongs, apologised for the glitch, the second from the search engine major in less than a month, and said the problem was resolved.

“Many of our users had difficulty accessing Gmail today [Tuesday]. The problem is now resolved and users have had access restored. We know how important Gmail is to our users, so we take issues like this very seriously, and we apologise for the inconvenience,” Google said in a posting on its website. – PTI

Pavan Kalyan coming today

Bhimavaram: K.P.N. Satya Prasad, district president of Praja Rajyam and D.S. Raju, party convener of Bhimavaram constituency, told newsmen on Tuesday that Yuva Rajyam president K. Pavan Kalyan would be visiting Bhimavaram on February 25 to address a public meeting at Luthern High School premises.

The leaders said that more than one lakh people would attend the meeting from Narsapur, Palcole, Attili, Penugonda and Achanta of West Godvari district.

Praja Chaitanya Yatra

The Praja Chaitanya Yatra of the TDP and the Left parties was conducted on the second day on Tuesday in the areas falling under first and fifth municipal divisions. Starting at three-bridges centre at Gunadala, the yatra covered Sangam road, Lenin Nagar, Gandhi colony, Urmila Nagar, Machavaram down, Maruthi Nagar, Chuttugunta and Sitaramapuram. CPI (M) leader Ch. Babu Rao, CPI city secretary K. Subba Raju and others spoke.
