NTR family gets together to wish Jr speedy recovery Special Correspondent
Mother of junior NTR after seeing her son, who was admitted at KIMS Hospital following a road accident in Hyderabad on Friday.

HYDERABAD: “Campaign for the party is not important. Junior NTR’s health is more important than anything else,” said N. Chandrababu Naidu, president of the Telugu Desam Party, after visiting the injured film star at KIMS in the early hours of Friday.

Apart from hordes of supporters, family members of NTR Jr. and leaders of the TDP thronged the hospital. At one stage, the KIMS authorities had to intervene and appeal to the fans of the film star not to cause a blockade in front of the hospital, as it would inconvenience the other patients.

NTR’s uncle Balakrishna was one of the earliest visitors to the hospital. As he emerged out, he told television channels that there was nothing to worry about the health of ‘abbai’, as he suffered only minor injuries. NTR Jr.’s mother, Shalini, came and stayed put in the hospital to take care of him.

Daggubati Venkateswara Rao, and his wife Purandeswari, visited the injured star separately.

It was only on Thursday that Dr. Rao wrote a letter to NTR Jr advising him not to become a puppet in the hands of Mr. Naidu. Dr. Rao was accompanied by Ramakrishna, son of the late NTR.

There was a surprise caller over the phone.

Praja Rajyam president and movie star Chiranjeevi spoke to Ms. Shalini from Jaggampeta and also told the media there that NTR had a bright future and he should recover fast.

Father of the star and TDP leader N. Harikrishna came to the hospital in the morning. After coming out, he said that the blessings of his grandfather and people saved the boy. TDP leaders Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, Nagam Janardhana Reddy, and K. Yeeran Naidu too visited the hospital as soon as the injured were admitted to the hospital.

While TDP leader Yerrabelli Dayakar Rao told in TV channels that NTR Jr was at the wheel when the accident occurred, another leader Tummala Nageswara Rao, who saw him off from Khammam, played it safe saying he wasn’t aware as to who was driving the ill-fated vehicle.

Our Nalgonda Staff Reporter adds:

Suryapet CI Lakshminarayana said a case under section 279 of IPC was registered suo motu by the Mothe police for rash driving on a public way.

A team has gone to Hyderabad to inquire into the case, he said and added that further investigation is underway to ascertain who was driving the vehicle at the time of the incident.
